Sand Harbor
Nevada’s east shore is not known for its sandy beaches… except for Sand Harbor. While most Nevada side beaches have coarse sand that is tough on the feet, Tahoe’s prevailing breezes deposit a fine-grained white sand here that is the harbor’s namesake. However, the area’s beauty is derived from the numerous rocks as much as the sand. It’s not just about the beauty above water, either. Scuba diving and snorkeling are both very popular here. On weekends the beach requires advanced reservations.

Patton Beach/Watermans Landing – Dog-Friendly Beach
Located in Carnelian Bay, Patton Beach/Watermans Landing is one of the few dog-friendly beaches in north Lake Tahoe. The beach features picnic benches and Watermans Landing Cafe and Standup Paddleboard rentals are located at the beach as well.
North Tahoe Beach Center
Located in Kings Beach the North Tahoe Beach Center features 3 sand volleyball courts, picnic facilities and tables, BBQ’s, sandy beach, lawn area, horseshoe pit and public restrooms.
Speedboat Beach
Located in Brockway, Speedboat Beach offers a great blend of granite boulders, sand, blue and green waters, and wonderful views of the lake.

Commons Beach
Located in Tahoe City, Commons Beach has a playground for kids and features free summer concerts on Sundays in July and August.

Skylandia Beach
Skylandia Park is a 24-acre California State Park operated and maintained by the TCPUD. It is located 1.5 miles east of Tahoe City on Lake Forest Road. Skylandia Park provides bike trails, hiking trails, and picnicking. The park also features a beach, pier, and swimming area.

Located on the west shore, Chambers Landing offers a great beach and pier bar.
